Pardon the pun…
Over 100 people joined us on Saturday evening for another fantastic Sausage Sizzle at Thornham Village Hall & Playing Field.
We think this was our 15th or maybe even 16th (?) Sausage Sizzle, and it’s become a real fixture in the Thornham summer. It’s one of those evenings where friends and neighbours catch up, new faces are always welcome, and everyone enjoys good food and good company.
After a week of glorious sunshine, the weather didn’t quite play ball. There wasn’t much of a sunset to admire this year, but nobody seemed to mind. The BBQ kept sizzling, the bar stayed busy and the hall was full of conversation and laughter.
Thank you to everyone who came along. By supporting events like this, you’re also helping us look after the hall, playing field and playground, so they can continue to be enjoyed by the whole community.
A very huge thank you to our brilliant volunteers. Whether you were cooking on the BBQ, working in the kitchen or behind the bar, making salads, donating or selling raffle tickets, setting up, clearing away or helping in countless other ways, this event simply wouldn’t happen without you.
We hope you all enjoyed the evening as much as we did, and we look forward to doing it all again next year!
