Big-screen entertainment right here at Thornham Village Hall. From new releases and much-loved classics to world-class theatre, opera and ballet, our Community Cinema brings a varied programme to the Hall throughout the year.
There’s something for different tastes and ages, whether you fancy an easy Thursday night film, a classic with coffee and cake, the best of National Theatre on the big screen, or an evening at the opera without the long journey home.
Thursday Film Night
A proper night at the pictures, close to home.
A monthly film night with a mix of recent releases and crowd-pleasers. Cash bar and cinema snacks available to purchase. No booking needed, just come along.
Encore: Opera and Ballet
Great opera and ballet, here on the coast.
Encore screenings of outstanding opera and ballet performances on the big screen. A chance to enjoy the spectacle, music and drama a little closer to home.
National Theatre Live
Great British Theatre on our big screen.
National Theatre Live brings acclaimed productions from the London stage straight to our Hall. Make it a Theatre Sunday and enjoy a 2-course meal at the Orange Tree before or after the screening.
Silver Screenings
Classic films. Coffee, cake and good company.
Relaxed daytime screenings of some of the great films of the silver screen. Free entry, with tea, coffee and cake available, and lifts from and back home can sometimes be arranged.
