Overview of Facilities

Well, firstly, we are in a stonking position on the North Norfolk Coast and get many visitors passing through who are welcome to join in whatever is going on.

The Hall opens up on to a balcony and the views from here, particularly when the sun is sinking on a summer evening, are spectacular. Wonderful if you have organised an event.

We have a huge Playing Field; an active, well supported cricket team, a football pitch for all to use, a great Children’s Play Area and, next to it, an exercise area for older children and grownups.

We have a popular Multi-Use Games area which Thornham Tennis Club uses. You can find details about how to join the Tennis Club elsewhere on the website or click here for the Thornham Tennis Club Membership Form.

There is a Car Park, which operates a Pay & Display system – free parking for the first hour and a quarter, which has spaces more than 60 cars. If there is a big event on, we open the bottom end of the playing field for overflow parking.

The there is the Hall itself. As it is still pretty much new, it is warm and welcoming, with central heating in winter, and air conditioning, if needed in the summer. There is a series of full-length windows which open on to the paved veranda area and views over the field.

We cater for events large and small. The Hall is particularly welcoming for Art and Craft Exhibitions, as it is so light and airy. There are spaces for 100 at sit down table dos, and 250 if you only need standing. Anything in between is fine!

The Hall is kitted out with the latest technical equipment for cinema and live theatre events, with a fantastic sound system and huge dropdown screen. Our live by satellite broadcasts are almost as good as a visit to the London theatre.

We have a loop hearing system and the Hall has full ramp access for disabled people.

We’ve got both a fully equipped kitchen and a kitchenette which comes in handy for providing cups of tea and coffee.

We have full licences for alcohol and music.

At the far end of the Hall there is a cosy Meeting Room with an adjoining kitchenette. This is a good location for small meeting groups – you can get up to 20 people in. There are plenty of points for laptops and a large DVD TV screen which can be used for training. Broadband WIFI is available throughout. Beyond the Meeting Room are the Changing Rooms which are used by the Cricket and Football teams during the season. With all mod cons.
