Weddings at Thornham Village Hall
The Hall
Thornham Village Hall is located in the picturesque and tranquil village of Thornham on the North West Norfolk coast in an area of outstanding natural beauty, and is famous for its big skies and fantastic beaches. It is light and spacious with five double doors on the west side opening on to a veranda with
superb views. The playing field is the home of Thornham Cricket Club so there may even be a cricket match on the day for the consummate village experience!
Thornham Village Hall is the perfect venue to create a unique DIY wedding reception, offering a neutral decor and a beautiful pale wood floor. The hall is approximately 145 sqm, and caters for 95 - 100 people seated for a formal dinner, or up to 250 people for a standing buffet. It is equipped with a semi-professional kitchen and is fully licensed for alcohol and music. Tables, chairs, crockery, cutlery and glassware for 120 settings are included in the wedding package. There is ample space on the playing field for a marquee and mobile catering vehicles, and outdoor areas for a barbecue or hog roast.
It has the benefit of on site parking, and there is a children’s play area to occupy the little ones.
The Day
The Hall does not currently hold a license for marriage services, however, Kings Lynn Registry Office is a 30 minute drive away, and there is a beautiful old church in Thornham, and others in the surrounding villages.
We have excellent relationships with local establishments who we can recommend to cater for your party, and can also suggest wedding stylists, florists and cake makers who you can work with to make your wedding reception exactly how you want it to be, but without the hefty price tag of other wedding venues.
There are plenty of wonderful B & B’s nearby where your guests can stay, and with lots of country walks, sandy beaches and quaint villages to explore, your day to remember could become a wonderful weekend to remember for you and your guests.
Our Wedding Package
Wedding events consist of a standard package including all facilities (hall, kitchen, meeting room and kitchenette ) and run from 6pm Friday to mid-day on Sunday. Additional hours can be arranged on the Friday for dressing the venue and the clear up on the Sunday.
